Late last month my mom and I took advantage of a sunny day and parked ourselves at one of the prettiest beaches in the area. Montara Beach is a stunner: with those mountains in the background and the big expanse of sand they have… Swoon. I’m always in love with this place.
I’ve photographed a few weddings here (this one and this one) and been lucky enough to see a double rainbow over these hills, too (here – just, omg).
My momma snapped this photo of me. I’m dressed silly and I like it, complete with my favorite hat and the one dress I always wear to the beach when I have my swimsuit on and some denim. Because, denim, ya know.
We stayed until the sun went all the way below the horizon and then some. The light faded, the people went home, and the sky got dark. We talked (and talked and talked) and it was one of those evenings you hold in your heart, ya know? It makes me feel whole just thinking about it. 🙂
Happy Wednesday, folks! xo

Amazing! I love Montara, it’s my favorite SF day trip! I’ve actually thought about how dreamy a wedding would be there. I love the restaurant right there too!

Oh yes, it’s the dreamiest place! It’s an amazing spot for a wedding – I’ve had the good fortune to photograph a couple of them there and they never disappoint (you can find them here – http://www.simoneanne.com/journal/category/bay-area-destination-wedding-photographer/). The restaurant is delish, but personally I love the happy hour for sunset there the best!! xo
